We keep fees simple and visible. Before you pay anything, every quotation shows the Vendor's price, taxes and any platform fee as separate lines.
1. Two fee types
Each category uses one of two fee types:
- Commission: the Vendor sets the price you pay, and Shubho Milan keeps a percentage of it. You pay the Vendor's price plus GST, with nothing added on top.
- Service fee: the Vendor sets the amount they want to receive, and Shubho Milan adds its fee (plus GST on the fee) as a separate line you can see. This is common for venues and caterers that quote net rates.

3. Locked prices
The rates and taxes used on a quotation are saved with it. If rates change later, confirmed bookings and quotations already sent are not affected.
4. How payments work
- Payments go through our regulated payment partner, which splits each payment between the Vendor and Shubho Milan.
- Bookings are usually paid in stages: an advance at booking (30% by default), a further amount before the event and the balance after it.
- The Vendor's share is held by the payment partner until the agreed point (for example, after the event) and then paid out automatically.
- You receive invoices for every payment, and credit notes for refunds.
5. For Vendors
Vendors see "customer pays ₹X, you receive ₹Y" on every quotation before sending it. Payout statements show the fee and taxes deducted for every booking, including tax collected at source (TCS) and tax deducted at source (TDS) where the law requires it. Commission invoices are available to download.
